OPUS iNET and OPUS v5 is a comprehensive solution for Corporate & Governmental Record Centers. Flexible mapping for shelving can be defined for any center's layout and will generate barcodes for each shelf or space.
As boxes are placed on a shelf, users will scan the shelf barcode and one or more boxes that are placed into that location. This will update OPUS with the new location of the box. Also, a shelf count of the number of boxes within that location will also be updated and allow users to monitor opus spaces.
User definable Retention Schedules can also be attached to each box (or file) to calculate a destruction time. When it's time for destruction, you can elect to have a manager's sign-off before destruction occurs. Legal or accounting holds can also be attached to the box to prevent destruction.
All box movement, such as check out, location changes, and scanned back into the record center are captured in the Chain of Custody within OPUS. This allows for comprehensive reporting on the circulation of boxes within your record center.
