Electronic signatures can also be captured from borrowers when they receive the artifact(s) into their possession.

OPUS can use barcodes or RFID tags for processing all movements and works with either desktop or portable readers. User definable alerts can also be set for any item which can prompt users for maintenance, item audits, or any other user definable need.
