How can I move my asset Items to another work center and have my Items seamlessly reflect the new location without human intervention?

This occurs when Items are involved in a workflow process and are moved from one workstation to another. It may be critical to know exactly where the Item is at anytime, such as in the approval process of a bank loan file or when tracking a medical slide involved in an analysis.

The RFID desktop reader along with the OPUS Transfer Agent will capture and record these moves without user intervention.

The RFID desktop reader requires very little space and will read Item tags as they cross the desk. These reads are processed by the OPUS RFID Transfer Agent into the OPUS database without interrupting the user or any processes the user is running. Only a non-descript message appears for a moment letting the user know how many tags were processed. Each move is represented by a circulation history record that provides a complete chain of custody.

The OPUS Transfer Agent can be configured to work with your OPUS Asset Tracker or any OPUS file tracking system in the same way you would use any barcode scanner. RFID tags are read directly into OPUS to perform a number of tasks, such as searching, checking In or Out, tracking location moves and others.
